We receive and process direct referrals for Home Sleep Testing from healthcare providers. This saves time and money for the patients, and gets results back to the referring provider faster. NOTE: We do have Board Certified Sleep Physicians who are able to provide Telemedicine Consultations.

Once received, your office will be provided with a referral confirmation fax as well as any applicable status updates - including cancelation or delay of testing by the patient.

We verify all applicable insurance benefits and obtain necessary prior authorizations. Patients are provided with full good-faith estimates prior to scheduling and will be quoted both insurance and self pay pricing.

We pride ourselves on having affordable and accessible self pay rates. These rates are all-inclusive with no hidden fees or bills later. All patients, regardless of insurance, will also be quoted our self pay rate so they can make the best financial decision for their healthcare.

Our Home Sleep Test is shipped directly to your patient’s front door. The two (2) night test measures multiple channels with accurate and reliable results which are manually scored by licensed Polysomnographic Technologiests and review by Board Certified Sleep Physicians.

Results are available within two (2) business days of our office receiving the device back from the patient. When results are ready, one of our licensed Sleep Coaches will call your patient with the results, and a copy will be faxed to your office.

Should the patient be diagnosed with Obstructive Sleep Apnea, the faxed results will include a pre-populated order for AutoCPAP therapy with all settings and configurations properly marked. A signature from the ordering provider is all that is needed before faxing back for our team to coordinate AutoCPAP setup.

For patients with in-network insurance benefits or those who opt to utilize self pay, we ship their AutoCPAP package directly to their home to help get them on the path to better sleep.

For patients with out-of-network insurance plans (particularly Medicare, Medicaid, and Tricare), we help coordinate the best options for third party setup - including forwarding the referral and all patient documents on your behalf.

Patients who receive their AutoCPAP through us will have complimentary and unlimited access to their licensed Sleep Coaches for the first ninety (90) days. Support includes email, text, phone, telemedicine appointments, and in-person appointments. After ninety (90) days, a minimal self pay fee is paid per appointment.

Our team has access to patient compliance and usage data with their AutoCPAPs. Patients and providers who wish to have updated compliance data may request this on-demand.

Replacement supplies can be ordered on-demand online, via phone, or patietns may opt into an automated resupply program at any time. Insurance and self pay options are available for all orders.

Same Day Processing
All referrals received by Own Sleep Medicine during regular business hours will be processed same-day. Many patients are able to have their Home Sleep Test or AutoCPAP shipped out same-day or next-day from their referral being received. Our team will continue to update your office on the status of your referral.
Prior Authorization
Prior authorizations required by insurance for both Home Sleep Testing and AutoCPAP setup are handled directly by Own Sleep Medicine.
Our team also handles on-demand compliance checks for authorization and approvals.
Fast Results
Results will be provided to your office within two business days of the Home Sleep Test device being returned. Patients who test positive for Obstructive Sleep Apnea will also have a pre-populated order for AutoCPAP therapy sent with their results.
